Paper Tape with Logo – Sustainable Print, Monster-Strong Seal

Your logo on kraft paper – and every parcel turns into a billboard on wheels. Paper packing tape with your logo comes in two strengths here: the standard tape with natural rubber adhesive for parcels up to around 15 kg, and the filament-reinforced kraft paper tape with 80 N/cm tensile strength when things get seriously heavy. Both tear by hand, both unwind quietly, both print in up to 3 colors – on white, brown or your own custom shade from CMYK, HEX or RGB. We convert your color code into Pantone and send you a proof before anything goes to press. From 36 rolls, artwork check included. 🐉

Paper, PP or PVC – which one seals your shipments?

You don't pick the material by gut feeling. You pick it by three things: parcel weight, disposal route, and how loud your colors need to shout. All three materials go through the same printing process, the same minimum order quantity and the same artwork check – the difference sits in the carrier.

Paper tape earns its keep when the box and its seal should travel the same road. The carrier is kraft paper, the adhesive on the standard tape is natural rubber. Our data sheet lists the disposal recommendation as paper recycling or residual waste – which one applies to you depends on your waste contractor and your local sorting facility. Kraft paper also does something no film can pull off: the parcel looks handmade rather than mass-produced. Anyone whose customers photograph their unboxing knows exactly why that matters.

PP tape with your logo is the budget-friendly pick for light shipments and high volumes – if your budget is tight and the parcel weighs under 5 kg, this is where the value sits. PVC tape with your logo delivers the punchiest color and the toughest carrier. When your corporate color has to hit hard and your client's Pantone reference has to land dead on, PVC is rarely the wrong answer.

Can't decide? You won't decide it on a screen anyway. Order a sample set, pull each tape across your own box and let your fingers do the choosing instead of the data sheet. That's the only material consultation that actually works.

Standard or reinforced? The hard numbers.

Both tapes are kraft paper, both tear by hand, both unwind quietly, both sit on a 90 µm carrier. The difference lives in the filament grid – and in four values:

Paper Tape with Logo

  • Total thickness 125 µm (± 10 %)
  • Tensile strength 50 N/cm (± 10 %)
  • Adhesion to steel 2.5 N/cm (± 5 %)
  • Adhesive: natural rubber
  • Colors: white, brown, custom shade
  • For parcels up to approx. 15 kg
  • Lead time approx. 3 weeks (DE)
Go to standard tape
VS
Monster pick

Reinforced Paper Tape

  • Total thickness 135 µm (± 10 %)
  • Tensile strength 80 N/cm (± 10 %)
  • Adhesive strength 7 N/cm (± 5 %)
  • Adhesive: synthetic rubber with hydrocarbon resins
  • Kraft paper 60 g/m², color brown
  • For parcels approx. 15–30 kg, −10 °C to +60 °C
  • Lead time approx. 4 weeks (DE)
Go to reinforced tape

In plain terms: up to 15 kg the standard tape handles it without breaking a sweat. Above 15 kg, for pallet securing, long export routes or sub-zero temperatures in an outdoor warehouse, you take the reinforced one. The embedded glass fiber filaments lift tensile strength from 50 to 80 N/cm – 60 % more, for just 10 µm of extra material. And to be straight with you: the adhesive on the reinforced tape is synthetic rubber with hydrocarbon resins, not natural rubber, and the reinforcement is glass fiber. If you want the purest material story, stay with the standard. If you ship heavy boxes, take the filaments.

One note our control monster never gets tired of repeating: the values above are average figures from spot tests on randomly selected samples of ongoing production. They are provided for information and are not a legally binding guarantee. If you need hard numbers for a tender, the full data sheet sits on every product page as a PDF download, tolerances and REACH declaration included.

Who printed paper tape actually pays off for

Printed tape is the cheapest branding you've ever bought – run the math once. A 50 m roll seals somewhere between 30 and 60 parcels depending on box size. Every one of them travels through at least one sorting center, rides on a delivery van and lands on a desk where somebody opens it. No other channel gives you that many impressions per dollar – and none of them gets clicked away as rarely.

Online shops and mail-order businesses use paper tape for the unboxing moment. Brown kraft paper with a white logo says "someone put care into this" before the box is even open. If your customers post unboxing clips on Instagram or TikTok, you'll see the effect show up in your feed – printed in white on brown.

Logistics and fulfillment providers care about something else entirely. Tears by hand means no cutter at the packing bench, no tool changes, no cuts on anyone's fingers. Quiet unwind means a hall with twenty packing stations doesn't sound like a sawmill by late afternoon. The core measures 76 mm (3 inches), so it fits standard hand and bench dispensers – our hand dispenser with 2K rubber grip, for instance.

Agencies and brand clients come for the color accuracy and the minimum order quantity. 36 rolls is small enough for one campaign, one event or one single client – without parking five pallets of tape in a warehouse that nobody needs once the rebrand lands. We match your Pantone reference, and the proof goes out to you before production starts.

Manufacturers and exporters end up with the reinforced tape almost every time. Heavy boxes, long routes, temperatures swinging between warehouse, truck and destination country – that's exactly what the 80 N/cm and the −10 °C to +60 °C range were built for. And a tape whose design runs across the full seam shows at a glance whether anyone opened the box en route.

Printing, color, plates – how your logo lands on the paper.

We print flexographic, a direct relief process using flexible printing plates. In practice that means up to three print colors, solid saturated tones, clean edges – but no photographs and no gradients. Vectors are what our print monsters feed on. Send your artwork as a vectorized PDF, AI or EPS and nobody has to cry.

The repeat length – the distance after which your design starts over on the roll – maxes out at 395 mm, in individual cases up to 502 mm. With a sleeve plate it's 314 mm. Design height equals tape width, and you don't need to add bleed. A graphic designer checks your file and aligns the artwork on the tape by hand – we send you the proof, and the presses only start once you sign off. Full details are in the artwork guidelines.

Standard plate or sleeve plate? That question comes down to the background. If your logo sits on the tape's base color – white or brown – a standard plate does the job. There'll be a repeat seam between the designs, and on the tape's own base color nobody notices it. If you want your own background color across the entire roll, or a continuous pattern with no break, a sleeve plate gets laser-engraved onto a full cylinder. More effort, but seamless.

Every print color needs its own plate: a logo in black needs one, a design in red, white and black needs three. The cost is a one-time charge. As long as your artwork stays the same, that same plate keeps printing on every reorder at no extra cost – we archive all plates for you. Current pricing is on the printing plate costs page.

We convert your color code from CMYK, HEX or RGB into Pantone so your screen and your roll speak the same language. Our free artwork check sniffs through every file first – resolution, colors, bleed. No print-ready file on hand? Then our design service takes over.

Store it, stick it, bin it

Paper tape isn't a diva, but it does have preferences. We recommend a storage life of 6 to 12 months at 20 °C and 50 % relative humidity – so an ordinary storage room, not the draft by the loading dock. Natural rubber doesn't like permanent heat and it doesn't like permanent damp. Leave the rolls lying flat in their box until you need them and the adhesive will pull just as hard after a year as it did on day one.

On application: kraft paper with natural rubber adhesive grabs recycled cardboard just as well as smooth corrugated board – and it grabs immediately, no need to press it down twice. The standard tape comes off residue-free, leaving no adhesive behind on the box. And one detail that gets overlooked a lot: our tapes are technically transparent. With light print colors the result isn't fully opaque and looks slightly translucent. If you're planning pastel tones on brown, order a sample first – it saves you a surprise 36 rolls later.

Both paper tapes are REACH compliant under EU Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 and contain no hazardous or health-damaging substances. For disposal, our data sheet names two routes: paper recycling or residual waste. Check with your waste contractor if you're unsure – the rules differ by region, and we'd rather claim nothing here that your sorting facility sees differently.

Frequently asked questions about paper tape with logo

How heavy can a parcel with paper tape be?

The standard paper tape with natural rubber adhesive is built for boxes up to around 15 kg and reaches 50 N/cm tensile strength. Above that you take the filament-reinforced paper tape with 80 N/cm – designed for roughly 15 to 30 kg. Both figures are average values from spot tests on ongoing production.

What's the difference between paper, PP and PVC tape?

Paper tape has a kraft paper carrier and goes, per our data sheet, into paper recycling or residual waste – handy when box and seal should take the same route. PP tape is the cheapest option for light parcels and high volumes. PVC tape delivers the strongest color reproduction and the toughest carrier – the first choice when a Pantone reference has to land exactly. All three print from 36 rolls in up to three colors.

How do I dispose of printed paper tape?

Our data sheet names two routes for both paper tapes: paper recycling or residual waste. Which one applies to you depends on your waste contractor and your sorting facility. Both tapes are REACH compliant under EU Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006.

Which widths and lengths are available?

The standard tape comes in 25, 38, 50, 75 and 150 mm widths, the reinforced one in 25, 50, 75 and 150 mm. Roll lengths are 50, 100, 125 or 500 m in both cases. The core measures 76 mm (3 inches) and fits standard hand and bench dispensers. 50 mm × 50 m is the default combination for parcel shipping.

Can I get my own background color?

Yes. White and brown are the base colors; any other background color gets printed across the full roll by a sleeve plate, seamlessly. A color code from CMYK, HEX or RGB is enough – we convert it into Pantone and show you the shade beforehand. One thing to know: the tapes are technically transparent, so light print colors aren't fully opaque and come out slightly translucent.

What artwork do you need from me?

Vectorized PDF, AI or EPS, ideally. The repeat length – the distance after which your design starts over – can be up to 395 mm, in individual cases 502 mm; with a sleeve plate it's 314 mm. Design height equals tape width, and you don't need bleed. Our free artwork check reviews your file before production, and a graphic designer aligns the design by hand.

Do printing plate costs apply to every order?

No. The plate is made once from your artwork and then archived for you. As long as your design stays identical, the same plate keeps printing on every reorder at no extra charge. A new one is only made when your design changes – new logo, new claim. You need one plate per print color.

How long does production take?

Around 3 weeks for the standard paper tape and around 4 weeks for the reinforced one within Germany; outside Germany it varies. The clock doesn't start with your order, it starts with your print approval – the faster you sign off, the faster your tape rolls. Why printed tape takes longer than stock goods off a pallet, we've written up in our magazine.

Why is the minimum order quantity 36 rolls?

36 rolls is our purchasing increment – one box, one setup of the printing press. Below that, the setup costs more than the tape itself. That still puts us well under the quantities that are standard in this industry. From 72 rolls the first price break kicks in, and it keeps going down from there.

How long does paper tape keep?

We recommend a storage life of 6 to 12 months at 20 °C and 50 % relative humidity. Stored dry and at an even temperature, the roll pulls just as hard after a year as it did on day one.

Shall we stick together?

Upload your design, give us the color code, approve the proof – and your paper tape with logo rolls into production. Want to touch it, pull it and unwind it first? Order a sample set with paper, PP and PVC and make the call on your own box. Or just call us: our monsters take questions Mon–Fri from 08:00 to 17:00 CET, and the contact form stays awake around the clock.

By the way: how other brands turn their parcels into advertising space is a story we've told in the magazine. And if your warehouse sits in Rotterdam, Vienna or Manchester: we ship there just as happily as we ship down the road. 🐉
