-
Quantity tolerance ± 12 %: Digital print runs as roll stock, so the delivered quantity can deviate up to 12 % above or below your order. Less delivered = credit note, more delivered = additional invoice. No fine print, just physics.
-
Three repeat lengths: 102 cm, 120.6 cm or 131.7 cm. Your artwork doesn't have to fit exactly – the print monsters pick the closest repeat and adapt your project to it. You'll see the result in your proof.
-
Maximum print height 42 mm (1.65 inch): The tape is 50 mm (2 inch) wide, 42 mm of it is printed. The remaining 4 mm per edge is a safety margin for converting – please keep important elements out of that zone.
Artwork Guidelines for PP Packing Tape Digital Print - Short & Sweet
For once, pixels are welcome here. Send photos and gradients as .pdf, .tif or .jpg at 300 dpi minimum in final size, CMYK color space. The print monster still loves vectors (.pdf, .ai, .eps) – logos and type stay razor-sharp that way.
Maximum print height is 42 mm / 1.65 inch (tape 50 mm / 2 inch, 4 mm safety margin each side). Repeat lengths: 102 cm, 120.6 cm or 131.7 cm – your project is adapted to the matching repeat. No bleed needed. Full details on our artwork guidelines page.
A graphics monster checks your design and aligns it precisely on the tape. You get a preview to approve before printing – the machine only starts when you nod.
Our PP packing tape with digital print measures 50 mm x 66 m (2 inch x 72 yd).

Production & delivery time: The countdown starts with your print approval. Delivery time: 3–4 weeks.

CMYK instead of Pantone: Digital print works in four-color halftone. Spot colors are approximated in CMYK – for exact Pantone shades, our flexo-printed PP tape is the right pick.
-
No plate, no sleeve: Full-coverage background colors and continuous patterns run without extra cost, too.
-
Prefer quiet? For calm packing benches, the same tape comes with silent acrylic adhesive: PP digital print acrylic silent.

PP Packing Tape Digital Print Hot Melt – No More Color Limits, No More Plate Costs
Until now, custom printed tape followed the iron monster rule: one plate per color, one invoice per plate. Three colors? Three plates. A photo? Forget it. With our PP packing tape in digital print, that rule is history. 🐉
Your artwork is digitally printed in CMYK directly onto the tape – no printing plate, no sleeve, no one-off costs. That's exactly what makes photo print possible. Product photo, gradient, illustration with 40 shades or a full-coverage background in your brand color: it all runs at the same price. For the first time, your design decides what the tape looks like – not the number of plates.
Sandwich printing: your artwork sits protected under the film
The digital print doesn't sit on top of the tape but between the PP carrier and the adhesive. That's called sandwich printing – and it means no scratch, no raindrop and no curious fingernail gets to your artwork. The photo looks the same at the recipient's door as it did on your packing bench.
Hot melt: grabs before the box knows what hit it
The hot melt adhesive has high initial tack – 2.95 N/cm (7.5 N/inch) on cardboard. The tape sits immediately, no pressing down and waiting. Ideal for packing lines with pace and for everyone who wants to seal a box once, not twice. Service temperature -10 °C to +50 °C.
Who PP packing tape with digital print is for
For everyone who wants more than a one-color logo on brown tape. E-commerce shops print their product world straight onto the parcel. Agencies reproduce client designs 1:1 without reducing colors. Brands with gradient logos finally get their real logo instead of a flexo compromise. And anyone switching seasonally – Christmas, sale, product launch – doesn't pay new plate costs with every artwork change.
Light to medium-weight parcels are this tape's territory. For really heavy shipments we recommend our extra-tough PVC tape; for classic one- to three-color logo print, PP tape with logo remains the budget-friendly choice. All digital print variants live in the digital print tape category.
Print & Design – your freedom, our monsters
Send us your artwork and the control monsters check resolution, color space and alignment in the free artwork check. You get a proof, approve it, done. No plate is made, no sleeve is lasered – so no plate costs either.
No design yet that makes the most of the color freedom? Our design service builds you one – from product photo to monster motif.
Test our PP tape – get it in your hands!
Digital print in photo quality sounds good, but you want to hold it first? Fair enough. Order the digital print sample set and check feel, tack and unwind on your own boxes before the 72 rolls arrive.
Ready for parcels that look like your shop window? Upload your design, pick your rolls, and the print monsters get going. 🐉
