Plate Costs

What they are and why they exist.

Repeat Length & Plate Sizes – Monster Math Made Easy

Quick vocab lesson: your design plus the gap before it repeats is called the repeat. And that repeat has to fit one of these fixed plate sizes – which one? The print monsters do the math for you:

150.7 mm 188.5 mm 219.8 mm 245.0 mm 251.2 mm 282.6 mm 314.0 mm 345.4 mm 370.5 mm 395.6 mm

Sleeve plate (seamless): always 314 mm
Special plate 502.6 mm: only after a pre-check – and then with a maximum of 2 print colors and no background color. Please ask directly with your print file.
No calculator needed: the print monsters work out the optimal plate size for your design – the proof shows you the result before anything gets printed.

What is a printing plate?

A plate is the stamp that prints your design onto the tape roll. We make it once from your digital artwork – after that, it rolls over your tape again and again.

Good to know: every color in your design needs its own plate. A logo in black? One plate. A design in red, white, and black? Three plates.

One-time investment Plate costs only apply the first time. As long as your design stays the same, the stamp prints every reorder at no extra cost.

Two plate types, one goal

Which stamp fits your artwork depends on the design.

Standard

Standard Plate

For logos, lettering, and simple designs.

A small gap remains between the designs (repeat seam)
Tape base color as the background
Patterns and lines get interrupted

Set up your file Tape height (e.g. 50 mm) × design length up to max. 395.6 mm – printable area: tape height minus 2 × 2 mm

The most affordable option – perfect when your logo or text sits on white, brown, or transparent tape.

Premium · Sleeve

Sleeve printing plate for producing custom printed packing tape

Sleeve Plate

For designs with their own background color or a continuous pattern.

Prints seamlessly – no visible transition (repeat seam)
Custom background color instead of the tape base color
Prints continuous patterns and lines
Lasered onto a full cylinder instead of a flat plate

Set up your file Always 314 mm long × tape height (e.g. 50 mm)

More complex to produce and to set up on the press – in return you get a gap-free print across the entire roll.

This is how it ends up looking on the tape

Same print, two worlds – the difference only really shows on the roll.

Standard Plate

Logo on the tape base color

The logo sits on the tape's base color, so the repeat seam stays invisible.

Sleeve Plate

Full-surface print, seamless

Your own background color across the whole roll, designs flow seamlessly into each other. No transition, no break.

Short and monster-simple

One plate, forever plate. Your plate is made once and prints every future order at no extra charge.

One plate per color. One color, one plate. Three colors, three plates. We keep all your plates safe.

Standard or sleeve? Logo on the tape color = standard. Custom background color or full coverage = sleeve.

New design = new plate. As long as your artwork stays identical, your stamp stays too. Logo update? Then we make a fresh one.

Duurzaam

Sylvie T , 22.12.2025

Smooth experience
As a small e-commerce business shipping around 200 parcels a day, this tape has become essential. Even in humid warehouse conditions, the tape stays put. Staying with this product for the long run.

Karen A , 13.06.2025

Nice work
Being able to order 36 rolls instead of 100+ really helps our cash flow. Tested on parcels up to 25 kg, zero failures. Staying with this product for the long run.

Ethan A , 30.11.2023

Perfect voor B2B
Ons magazijn piekt in het seizoen, betrouwbare tape is geen optie maar noodzaak. Geen opkrullen aan de randen, in tegenstelling tot onze vorige leverancier. Is inmiddels standaard in ons magazijn.

Marieke D , 22.10.2023

Our new standard
The starter pack lasted us nearly five months. Proof preview was accurate, no surprises on the final rolls. Price is fair but a volume discount above 72 rolls would be appreciated. We will continue ordering going forward.

Robert I , 14.12.2022

Solid performer
Our shipping team goes through roughly 40 rolls per month. Tear resistance is impressive for the price point. This is now a standard in our warehouse.

George W , 04.09.2022

Aiden N , 15.07.2022

Professional finish
Perfect size for our quarterly ordering cycle. The branded tape elevates our unboxing experience. Proof preview was accurate, no surprises on the final rolls. Works well through temperature swings between loading dock and warehouse. Color intensity could be slightly more vibrant on paper tape. This is now a standard in our warehouse.

Richard B , 01.01.2022

Fait le travail
En tant que petit e-commerce expédiant environ 180 colis par jour, ce ruban est devenu essentiel. Testé sur des colis jusqu à 25 kg, aucun échec. Le réapprovisionnement est déjà planifié.

Martine J , 14.09.2021

Nice work
Being able to order 36 rolls instead of 100+ really helps our cash flow. This is now a standard in our warehouse.

Ronald N , 03.08.2021

Strong adhesion
The low minimum order quantity was a key factor in our decision. No lift at the edges, unlike our previous supplier. Reordering is already scheduled.

Christopher K , 02.05.2021

Resistente
